Dr. James McKenzie established Whistler Dental in 1993; before that, he practiced dentistry with the UN and NATO in Europe as a member of the Canadian Armed forces. Dr. McKenzie enjoys spending time with his family and can often be found cheering from the sidelines of the hockey rink or soccer field.

Dr. Heidi North is originally from Australia, where she studied dentistry and worked at several dental hospitals and clinics in Brisbane. She moved to Whistler in 2015 and enjoys hiking, horseback riding and snowboarding.

Dr. Joel Fransen practices the full scope of modern endodontics including non-surgical treatment and endodontic microsurgery. He is one of only a handful of endodontists in North America who has pursued advanced training in implant dentistry.  Dr. Fransen is a previous ski racer, instructor and coach, and enjoys skiing with his family on the North Shore mountains.
